The supporting fabrics for this fast setting synthetic casting bandage are knitted glass fibres which are evenly impregnated with polyurethane. Compared to usual plaster of paris bandages it shows several advantages: The increased air permeability prevents the skin from infection as well as itching and un-pleasant smell. The cast material is lighter and thinner which improves ventilation and healing. The final cast is approximately 20 times stronger than usual plaster of paris bandages and also waterproof. The stretching material allows a smooth and tight fitting of the cast. Due to its even surface TRO-EASYCAST is both comfortable to wear and kind to clothing.
